The FSDB Music Department will host its annual Spring Music Concert and Art Show on Thursday, April 20. The concert will be held in the Wilson Memorial Music Building Auditorium at 6:30 PM. Preceding the concert will be the Blind High School Art Show which will take place in Gibbs Hall.
Spring Music Concert
The music event will feature the Concert Band, Show Band, Concert Chorus, and Show Choir presenting pieces reflecting the standards and musicianship they concentrated on this school year. Graduating seniors are traditionally honored at the Spring Concert each year and present "senior solos" as a right of passage. Madison Wardell is our only senior this year, so will be featured during both the Chorus and Show Choir segments.
Art Show
Artwork created by Blind High School students will be on display in Gibbs Hall. Students are learning how the Art Show process works, including choosing pieces to showcase, things to consider for display options, creating museum labels, and creating programs, among many other Show aspects. Art may also be viewed following the concert.
The concert will be livestreamed on the FSDB YouTube channel and FSDB and Blind High School Facebook pages. FSDB families planning to attend in person are reminded to arrive early. Please enter the campus through the Genoply Street entrance that intersects with San Marco Avenue and proceed to the guardhouse to check in with Campus Police for parking instructions. You must present identification.
