Third Annual Career & Technical Education Showcase

FSDB held its third Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase on February 20, 2019. The Showcase keeps growing each year as the CTE program spreads its wings and soars ever higher. Andrea Armstrong, Director of Career Development and Farrah Selleck, Administrative Assistant, and CTE personnel coordinated the campus event geared to students and visitors alike.

Showcase attendees learned about a variety of campus CTE opportunities, thanks to students who partnered with staff members to explain each program. Recruiters from several colleges and businesses were also on hand to share information and resources with students.

New to the Showcase was the FSDB Human Resource Department partnering with the Career Development Department to manage the job interview booth, which allowed students to practice their interview skills.

"Students who visited our area wanted to learn more about the process of interviewing. They had good questions and responses. It was an excellent real-world experience for them!" said Lori Smith, FSDB Human Resources Representative.
