Greetings from Vaill Hall!

The students have been doing a phenomenal job getting into the routine of dorm life. They are building confidence with independent living skills and getting ready for more activities around the corner.

Activities

The Vaill Hall kids have been enjoying cheering on the FSDB volleyball team at our home games. They get to show their school spirit and practice socializing in a public space.

All of the groups have also been working on their independent living skills by practicing proper cleaning and hygiene habits. They have been getting into the routine of doing their daily duties, and they practice different skills weekly.

The 1 East and 1 West students enjoyed doing an activity with our Vaill Hall Art Club, led by staff. They did a finger painting activity where they explored colors and worked on developing their imagination and self-expression.

The Annex boys and several other Vaill students have been practicing their skills and working on sportsmanship while playing basketball on the campus court. It keeps them active while having fun with their peers.

The 2 North girls have been working on their cooking skills by making simple dishes and baking cupcakes. They have made spaghetti as well and have been having a great time doing family-style snacks and meals in the dorm.

The Annex boys did a lesson about how to properly make their bed. Staff did a presentation about how to make a bed, and the boys all practiced and were very proud of their handiwork. They had a small competition to see who could make the neatest bed, but they all got a small reward because the whole group did a fantastic job.
