Greetings from Vaill Hall!

Activities

1st East – C’Hynel has been practicing washing her clothes weekly. C’Hynel is doing a great job reminding herself to make sure her clothes are clean. Also, they had fun Halloween activities to celebrate the spooky season, a great way to add decorations to the dorm.

1 West – The students practiced making chocolate oatmeal cookies from scratch. A great way to improve their cooking and safety skills in the kitchen. The students had the opportunity to learn how to crochet from Debra. They love making bracelets and necklaces for their friends and family. Also, to prepare for the spooky season the students were able to decorate the dorm, this was a great way for the students to work together and practice creativity.

2nd North – After the students finish reading for 30 minutes, they are to complete a book report on what they read. This helps the students practice writing and become better readers. To celebrate good behavior, the staff will determine who will be the student of the month and week. Also, the students enjoyed having ice cream and coloring Halloween pages to get into the spooky season.

Annex South – Debra has been teaching the students how to crochet, from shoelaces, bracelets and even necklaces. The students love wearing and sharing their creations and showing their peers how much fun it is.
