Greetings from Vaill Hall!

We’re excited to share some of the wonderful activities and updates from around the dorm this October! Our students have been busy learning, growing, and celebrating the season in creative ways.

Activities

2nd Floor North

Students practiced their cooking and teamwork skills by making festive Halloween cinnamon rolls. They also enjoyed their first field trip to a Mexican restaurant, where they learned how to order food and handle payments independently—great life skills in action!

The students have been making it a nightly routine to practice yoga before bed. This helps regulate teir emotions and improve their flexibility, strength, and balance. Also, they go to watch a home volleyball game as a good way to be involved in the school community and show their school spirit.

Halloween spirit is alive and well, and the students began decorating their dorm with balloon ghosts and pumpkins. They also joined in the fun at a home volleyball game, cheering on their peers and connecting with the school community.

Creativity is blooming as students make rubber band bracelets. This hands-on activity encourages self-expression and social interaction in a fun and colorful way. They also went on a trip to McDonald's as a reward for good behavior, practicing their behavior off-campus, and learning how to make purchases.
