Elementary Boarding Newsletter

It has been a fun and exciting couple of weeks as students settle back into their normal routines following winter break and the recent short week.

1 East: Growing Through Games

Students in 1 East have enjoyed playing games like Twister and Jenga. These activities help them build patience, improve coordination, strengthen decision‑making skills, and practice following rules and instructions. It has been a fun and skill‑building week for everyone.

1 West: Hot Chocolate and Independence

With the chilly weather, students in 1 West have been craving warm hot chocolate. They have been practicing how to make it themselves, giving them valuable opportunities to build independence and learn important kitchen safety skills.

2nd North: Celebrations and Community

2nd North celebrated a birthday in their pod with popcorn and a movie, creating a great opportunity to spend time together and deepen their bonds.

This week, Gabby was recognized as Student of the Week. Gabby is a supportive friend, a great listener, and a responsible member of the dorm community. The pod also enjoyed a movie night in the dorm as a reward for their positive behavior.

Annex: Basketball Excitement

The Annex boys, along with several other students, are enthusiastic about tryouts for the Youth League Basketball teams. They have been practicing during outside playtime and are motivated to improve their skills. Their dedication and energy have been impressive.

Chilly days are here. Please be sure to pack appropriate clothing for your child. If possible, include extra clothing items for emergencies.

Please ensure your child has snacks and any personal items they may need throughout the week.
