Vaill February Newsletter 2.18.26
Greetings from Vaill Hall,
Dorm Activities
To celebrate Valentine’s Week, Vaill Hall students took part in a variety of activities focused on kindness and appreciation. One highlight was creating heartfelt Valentine’s cards for staff and faculty across campus. The Valentines helped them spread gratitude for the support they’ve received throughout the school year. They also made wonderful gifts for friends, teachers, and family members. The students were excited to spread love in many directions and show gratitude to the special people in their lives.
Students in 1 North transformed into secret agents for a special spy‑themed challenge! They practiced flexibility, problem‑solving, and teamwork as they navigated a “laser maze” made of blue tape. Their mission: make it from one end to the other without touching the lines. The activity kept everyone engaged, active, and laughing together.
1 East has been working hard on building healthy habits around organization and cleanliness. Students have been practicing how to keep their dorm tidy and team‑ready. Their teamwork has helped ensure the space stays neat and welcoming for everyone when they return from school each day.
The students in 1 West earned a special treat for demonstrating excellent behavior. As a reward, they spent time creating their own gingerbread houses. The activity was not only fun, but it also gave them an opportunity to collaborate, be creative, and enjoy a well‑deserved celebration.
Notices:
With the recent chilly and rainy weather, please be sure your child is packed with appropriate clothing each day. If possible, sending an extra set of clothes is very helpful for unexpected situations.
Please ensure your child has the snacks and personal items they may need throughout the day.
As Spring Break approaches, we kindly ask families to avoid sending extra or unnecessary items to school. Limiting additional belongings will help make packing and transition for the break much smoother for your student. Thank you for your support!
