Vaill April Newsletter 4.1.26

Greetings from Vaill Hall,

The students from 1 East and 1 West have been coming together for shared activities such as homework time and free choice. These joint experiences support the development of social-emotional skills by encouraging cooperation, communication, and peer support as students learn to work together and help one another.

The 2 West girls recently enjoyed their monthly community field trip as a reward for their continued positive behavior, cooperation, and strong decision-making. During this outing, the students independently communicated and completed their purchases, helping to build confidence and strengthen real-world communication skills with food service staff. They also demonstrated responsibility and respect by leaving their table cleaner than they found it and expressing appreciation to the Chick-fil-A team before departing.

The 2 West girls participated in a meaningful moment of connection by signing a classmate’s arm cast, offering encouragement and demonstrating empathy and support for one another.

The 1 North boys took part in some indoor exercise challenges such as wall sits, turning physical activity into a friendly competition. Students stayed motivated, and practiced perseverance. The activity encouraged healthy movement, positive competition, and sportsmanship, with rewards adding excitement and motivation for all participants.

Reminders:

Please ensure your child has the snacks and personal items they may need throughout the day.

As the end of the year approaches, we kindly ask families to avoid sending extra or unnecessary items to school. We will be sending extra items home to help take away some clutter that has built up over the year. Thank you for your support!
