Welcome Back!

We are thrilled to welcome our students back for the 2026-2027 school year! The first two weeks have been off to a wonderful start. Students are gradually becoming familiar with dormitory expectations, routines, and general rules. It was a joy to see everyone settling in, reconnecting with friends, and making new friendships along the way.

Our staff members are equally excited to be back and are looking forward to another year of supporting, encouraging, and celebrating our students' growth and success. Our Independent Living Skills curriculum will begin soon, and your child’s assigned staff member has likely already reached out to discuss goals and skills that you would like us to focus on throughout the year.

We value your input and encourage you to share any additional goals as the year progresses. By working together, we can help your child develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive. As always, our mission is to support each child's growth, independence, and overall well-being in a safe, nurturing, and positive environment.

Student Activities

Our students have been busy learning, creating, and having fun!

Students have been expressing their creativity through a variety of painting projects, including canvas painting and decorating rocks. These colorful rocks will be placed around campus to spread positivity and brighten our shared spaces.

Safety has also been a priority as students participated in emergency preparedness training, including tornado and fire drills. They discussed the importance of remaining calm and following directions during emergency situations.

In addition, students have enjoyed friendly games of Big Card UNO and Jenga. These activities provide wonderful opportunities to build friendships, practice teamwork, and develop good sportsmanship skills.

Important Notices

With the exceptionally hot weather, we want to ensure that students remain comfortable and safe during outdoor activities. Please send lightweight, breathable clothing, including shorts, so your child can stay cool throughout the day. We also ask that you provide sunscreen for your child to use during outdoor play and recreation times.

Please continue sending snacks and drinks for your child. Due to the heat, students are drinking more fluids than usual. If you plan to send snacks that your child will take to school during the week, please include a note indicating which items should be sent to the classroom. This helps staff ensure the correct snacks are taken to school on Monday.

We would also appreciate your help in reminding students to bring their personal toiletries back to the dormitory each week. If you are unsure about what supplies your child may need, please feel free to contact the dorm staff. We are happy to let you know if your child is running low on any personal care items.
