Greetings from Vaill Hall

The Vaill students recently enjoyed a colorful tie-dye activity that combined creativity and fun. Wearing white T-shirts, students used water balloons filled with colorful dye to create unique designs on one another’s shirts. Students took turns, enjoyed getting messy, and the activity was full of laughter and excitement. The students each get to keep their one-of-a-kind shirt as part of this special Art Club activity. Non toxic dye was used in the activity, but your child might be coming home a bit more colorful than normal.

The 2 North girls enjoyed dinner at a local Mexican restaurant as part of an independent living skills outing. During the trip students practiced real-world skills such as ordering their own meals, handling money, calculating costs, and making appropriate choices. The outing also allowed them to practice their positive behavior in a public place. They did a great job representing the dorm and demonstrated growing confidence.

The students have been engaged in a variety of games and team-building activities. The Annex boys enjoyed playing the Tacta card game, which encouraged collaboration, critical thinking and strategic decision making. Students also had fun playing games of 4 square, but while sitting down and using a balloon for a safe indoor activity.
