Lessons continue on staying prepared, being aware of surroundings, and identifying safe spaces in a variety of situations.

📘 Life Skills & Curriculum Overview
Over the past several weeks, students in Rhyne Hall have been actively engaged in learning a variety of important real‑life skills. These lessons have focused on:
Social responsibility
Emotional regulation
Cooperation with peers
Time management
Self‑care
Social awareness
We are incredibly proud of the growth the boys have demonstrated in self‑regulation, personal responsibility, and their ability to work well with others during daily activities.
💪 Character Trait of the Month: Grit
Throughout February, our character education theme has centered on
Grit—working steadily and consistently toward long‑term goals. Staff continue weaving this theme into classroom discussions and daily routines. The boys are preparing to dive deeper into conversations about perseverance, determination, and staying focused even when tasks become challenging.
🤝 Community Service & Leadership
This month, our boys embraced leadership through a mentorship project with FSDB middle school students. They led meaningful conversations about:
Showing respect and kindness
Healthy vs. unhealthy relationship behaviors
Thoughtful and age‑appropriate dating advice
Maintaining personal identity while caring for others
Their guidance emphasized honesty, consistency, and empathy—messages that resonated strongly with younger students.
To continue giving back, the boys also created Valentine treat bags to show appreciation for FSDB staff, police officers, and cafeteria staff. They delivered these gift bags personally, hoping their gesture would bring smiles and gratitude to those who support our school community daily. The boys thoroughly enjoyed participating in this act of kindness.
