We hope your school year is off to a wonderful start! Our students have been busy learning valuable life skills through lessons on emergency preparedness, weather safety, and off-campus training. These hands-on experiences are helping them build confidence, independence, and responsible decision-making skills.

We are also proud of our students for giving back to the community by creating survival kits and positive affirmation posters for middle school girls. Their kindness and leadership truly reflect our September PBIS character trait, Citizenship, as they learn the importance of helping others and being positive role models.

As a reminder, Study Hour is held daily from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and we ask families to limit calls and texts during this time unless it is an emergency. Please also remember that FaceTime, videos, and photos are not permitted in student bedrooms, and assist students in keeping personal hygiene items and snacks stocked in the dorm. If ordering food or groceries for your child, please notify staff in advance.

Rhyne Hall News

Greetings, Rhyne Hall Families!

September has been a wonderful month for our boys as they continue settling into their routines with academics, sports, dorm responsibilities, and evening activities. We are excited that homework help and the night library are now available, giving students additional opportunities for academic support and one-on-one guidance from staff.

Throughout the month, students participated in a variety of life skills lessons designed to build independence and confidence. They practiced cooking, laundry care, organization skills, money management, and making responsible decisions. Our older students also took part in a "Buying a Car 101" lesson, learning about budgeting, credit reports, and making informed financial choices.

Citizenship was our Character Trait of the Month. Students explored what it means to be a responsible member of their community through discussions about respect, helping others, and making positive choices. To celebrate their learning, they created a special poster thanking our police officers for their service and dedication.

Outside of the classroom, the boys enjoyed fishing when the weather allowed, with several students experiencing it for the very first time. Our high school students also had a great time at the Recreation Ice Cream Social, where they enjoyed dancing, playing pool, socializing with friends, and, of course, ice cream.

We are proud of the growth, maturity, and positive attitudes our students have shown this month and look forward to another exciting month ahead.
