Gregg Hall News
Over the past month, the girls in Gregg Hall have been adjusting to our new Personal Electronic Device (PED) policy, which limits device usage to designated times. While the transition was initially challenging, we’re proud to share that the girls have adapted well and are now engaging in a variety of enriching activities during their free time.
After school, those not involved in sports have been making the most of their time by participating in board and card games—Uno remains a top favorite! Many have also tapped into their creativity through painting, drawing, and clay sculpting. Additionally, attending campus sporting events has become a popular way to show school spirit and support their peers in volleyball, swimming, and cheerleading.
We’ve recently noticed an increase in gossiping within the dorm, which has affected some of our girls emotionally and socially. Our staff is actively addressing this by helping the girls understand what gossip is, why it’s harmful, and how it impacts both themselves and others. We’re also reinforcing the importance of accountability and the consequences of negative behavior. We kindly ask families to continue these conversations at home to help reinforce these values. Our goal is to ensure every girl feels safe, respected, and supported in our boarding community.
On a positive note, we’re excited to announce that the Gregg Hall Dorm Store is now open! This initiative is part of our campus-wide Positive Behavior Support (PBS) program. Each day, girls can earn up to two Dragon Dollars—one for demonstrating positive behavior and another for fulfilling responsibilities. Additional Dragon Dollars are awarded for going above and beyond expectations. These can be spent in the dorm store on fun and useful items like snacks, room décor, jewelry, and self-care products.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our girls grow, thrive, and enjoy their time in the boarding program!

Character Trait of the Month: Citizenship
This month, we are focusing on citizenship and the many ways it can be practiced in daily dorm life. Our students show good citizenship by being responsible, respectful, and kind to one another. They take care of their shared spaces by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing tables, and keeping the dorm clean. They also practice citizenship by helping others—holding doors open, picking up trash, and making choices that benefit the whole dorm community. By learning to follow rules, respect routines, and treat others with care, our students are building character that will serve them well both inside and outside the dorm.
Life Skills in the Dorm
Beyond academics and athletics, our students continue to build valuable life skills. With guidance from our dedicated dorm staff, they are learning how to cook simple meals, use kitchen appliances safely, and take care of household tasks such as cleaning and organizing. These skills not only foster independence but also strengthen their sense of responsibility and pride in contributing to the dorm community.
Daily Life and Recreation
Students are excelling in their routines—balancing homework, sports, and dorm responsibilities. When it’s time to relax, basketball remains a favorite outdoor activity, and the beautiful September weather has given us many opportunities to enjoy the fresh air together.
Looking Ahead
We are excited to host a Welcome Back Recreational Activity, where all middle school girls and boys will come together to play games, win prizes, and build friendships. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the start of a great school year and continue strengthening our sense of community.
Important Reminders for Families
Snacks and Drinks: Please continue to send enough snacks and drinks to keep your child energized and hydrated throughout the week.
Footwear and Rain Gear: With the rainy season here, be sure to pack at least two pairs of shoes and a raincoat, jacket, or umbrella. Thank you for your continued support. We are proud of how well our students are doing and look forward to more exciting moments in the months ahead.
