Welcome Back, Families!
This summer seemed to go by even more quickly than normal. It was wonderful seeing many of you on Family Night and meeting our new students. Your kids have gotten so tall!
Our first weeks frequently come with a few wrinkles: anxious tummies, disrupted sleep, or forgotten items at home. Doctors' orders, medications, and supplies are still trickling in, but everything will settle in shortly while we maintain care of your students. Please get in touch with the HCC or your student's care coordinator for questions or concerns.
Sport seasons will begin soon. We have many opportunities and talented athletes on campus. Please check with our Athletic Department regarding sports physicals and eligibility requirements.
Our Healthcare Center remains an excellent resource that, in addition to acute health concerns, provides basic dental services, Pediatric Developmental Clinic, Psychiatry, Mental Health Services, low vision clinic, PT/OT/ST and Audiology. Please get in touch with your child's care coordinator for more information regarding your student's eligibility to utilize these services for the new school year.
National Immunization Awareness Month
National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance held in August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. We can help raise awareness about the importance of immunization. Talk to a healthcare provider you trust about staying up to date on your loved ones' vaccinations.
Additional guidance from a healthcare provider may be needed if your child or teen:
Has a medical condition that puts them at higher risk for infection.
Is traveling outside the United States.
Missed a vaccine recommended for their age.

Please Send in as Soon as Possible
Signed 2025-26 Consent Forms (Adult students must sign their own)

Medications and updated med orders
Diet Orders
Medications
An adequate supply of all prescription medications must be available while your student is on campus. Please monitor for needed refills prior to your student returning to school. In some cases, students may need to return home to ensure their safety until their medications become available. Prescription medications must be sent to our pharmacist in the original labeled bottles. Signed physician orders may be faxed directly to our pharmacist at 904-827-2428.
Clearance Forms
A Clearance form is required to return to campus after any Emergency Room visit, surgery, or hospitalization has occurred (including on weekends or school breaks). It may be dropped off at the HCC, faxed to 904-827-2421, or emailed to HCCRecords@fsdbk12.org, but must be received prior to your student's use of transportation or return to school. A student on campus without Clearance must remain in the Health Care Center until it is received. Parents may have to pick up their student from school if Clearance cannot be obtained.
Keep your student home if they exhibit any signs of illness
Students must go home for:
Positive Flu or Covid tests
Temperature above 100.4
Repeated vomiting
Illnesses or symptoms require more than 23 hours in TCU
Symptoms beyond the scope of HCC
Clearance not obtained
Critical meds not available
EMS 911 calls
We are here to supplement your student's care while at school, but we cannot provide primary care services. Please utilize your PCPs and specialists for routine and follow-up care for concerns beyond the scope of the HCC.
