The FSDB campus has been assessed and determined to be safe for staff and students to return. School will be open Friday, September 1st.
Important notes:

Yellow Bus routes (morning and afternoon) will follow the regular Friday schedule.

The boarding program will remain closed for the rest of the week.

SHOW Bus students will be picked up on Monday, Sept. 4, at their regularly scheduled bus stops and times.

FSDB campus will be assessed to determine if it is safe for staff and students to return to the campus after Hurricane Idalia. Based on the most recent weather advisory, due to the lateness of the storm passing through our area, the School will be closed both Wednesday and Thursday. Additional messaging will be sent on Thursday afternoon regarding Friday’s status.

FSDB will be closed on Wednesday, August 30, due to the impending storm. The remaining SHOW bus students will go home early today following the regular Friday pick-up bus schedule (see routes below). All Yellow Bus and Parent Pick-Up students will go home at 3:30 p.m. today. All after-school activities are canceled for the remainder of the week.
Our thoughts are with every family during this weather event and hope you all stay safe. Further communication regarding classes for day students on Thursday and Friday will be shared Wednesday evening after we learn more about the path and impact of this storm.
The following SHOW routes WILL go home on TUESDAY, August 29 at 2:05 p.m.

FSDB estará cerrada el miércoles 30 de agosto debido a la inminente tormenta. Los autobuses SHOW restantes se regresarán a casa con los estudiantes temprano esta tarde siguiendo el horario regular de los viernes (vean las rutas abajo). Todos los Autobuses Amarillos y Padres recogiendo se despacharán a sus casas a las 3:30 PM hoy. Todas las actividades después de la escuela serán canceladas por el resto de la semana.
Nuestros pensamientos están con todas las familias durante este evento climático y esperamos que todos se mantengan resguardados. Mas información sobre las clases para los estudiantes del día jueves y viernes se compartirá en la tarde del miércoles después de saber más sobre el camino y el impacto de la tormenta.

FSDB participated in several weather briefings over the last few hours. The leadership team has decided that all SHOW bus students will go home early this week following the regular Friday pick-up bus schedules (see routes below). We understand you may not have bad weather in your area from Idalia, however, there is concern that the roads might not be safe later in the week because of the storm. We also have to make sure our bus chaperones have enough time to make it back safely to FSDB after dropping off your child. Our thoughts are with every family during this weather event and hope you all stay safe. Further communication regarding classes for day-students on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be shared as we learn more about the path and impact of this storm.

La FSDB participó en las últimas horas en varias sesiones informativas sobre el clima. El equipo de liderazgo ha decidido que todos los estudiantes de SHOW bus regresarán a casa temprano esta semana siguiendo los horarios regulares de recogida de los viernes (consulte las rutas a continuación). Entendemos que es posible que no haya mal tiempo en su área debido a Idalia; sin embargo, existe la preocupación de que las carreteras no sean seguras más adelante en la semana debido a la tormenta. También tenemos que asegurarnos de que nuestros acompañantes del autobús tengan tiempo suficiente para regresar sanos y salvos a FSDB después de dejar a su hijo. Tropical Depression “Idalia” is now forecasted to land somewhere around the Pensacola/Big Ben area of Florida. Because FSDB cares about the safety of our students, students who ride SHOW bus Route 3 (Pensacola) will not be picked up Sunday, August 26th. We are concerned that the roads might not be safe later in the week because of the storm. If a parent/guardian decides to take their child to school in their car, they will also need to pick them up on Friday, September 1st. SHOW bus Route 3 will not be dropping off students on Friday, September 1st.

Ahora se pronostica que la depresión tropical “Idalia” aterrizará en algún lugar alrededor del área de Pensacola/Big Ben en Florida. Debido a que FSDB se preocupa por la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, los estudiantes que viajan en la Ruta 3 del autobús SHOW (Pensacola) no serán recogidos el domingo 26 de agosto. Nos preocupa que las carreteras no sean seguras más adelante durante la semana debido a la tormenta. Si un padre/tutor decide llevar a su hijo a la escuela en su automóvil, también deberá recogerlo el viernes 1 de septiembre. La ruta 3 del autobús SHOW no dejará a los estudiantes el viernes 1 de septiembre.
