"Creative Minds"

Inspiring Young Innovators

April 23, 2022 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Creative thinking helps us to solve problems that don’t have a clear or easy answer. Creativity promotes curiosity, logical reasoning, and story-telling skills.

Join us on April 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., EST in our online, Zoom classroom. This activity is for children aged 6-13.

FSDB welcomes you to join us in stretching your mind. "Creative thinking inspires ideas. Ideas inspire change." – Barbara Januszkiewicz

Activities include a taste test and designing, creating, and marketing your own candy bar. ALL students who are blind or visually impaired (BVI), or deaf or hard of hearing (DHH), and live in the state of Florida are eligible to register for this free event. We will ship a package with all items needed to complete the activities to all registered students.

Students will explore areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum and use creative thinking in the following areas:

  • Sensory Efficiency: Using all their senses efficiently.

  • Compensatory Skills: Thinking, reading, writing, creating.

  • Recreation & Leisure: Having fun and sharing ideas.

  • Assistive Technology: Staying current and learning new strategies.

Space is limited, and registration is required, so please don’t wait to sign up!
