Learn to DIY "Do It Yourself!" Basic uses of tools.
Join us on September 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., EST in our online, Zoom classroom.
Students ages 6-14 who are deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH) or blind/visually impaired (B/VI) will explore a variety of tools and their uses.
Activities will include 10 basic safety rules for using hand tools using the DIY Family Handyman guide. They will examine nuts and bolts, how to add washers, remove nails, fill in holes, hang objects with wires, whack on bubble wrap, screw into pieces of drywall, make a bolt board and more!
ALL students who are blind or visually impaired (BVI), or deaf or hard of hearing (DHH), and live in the state of Florida are eligible to register for this free event. We will ship a package with all items needed to complete the activities to all registered students.
