Each year, the Deaf and Blind department holds an end-of-year event, including activities such as a beach trip, cookout, party, water fights, or swimming at the lake. In 1982, the blind students had the opportunity to visit Kingsley Lake for a fun swimming outing. Kingsley Lake was the most popular destination for FSDB students. However, about ten years ago, it closed down. The lake was managed by a local family located east of Starke, Florida. Credits: FSDB Museum #FSDBWayBackWhenesday #FSDBHistory
